You
need a Vitamin C and Collagen Facial
Collagen
is what keeps the skin looking plump and youthful and
the body cannot synthesise collagen without the presence
of vitamin C. This facial provides instant plumping
in the skin and the results can last for days.
The
main attractions of this facial are:
•
The multi-part exfoliation with head massage
• The application of a vitamin C ampule
• The stimulating and toning face massage
• The collagen veil that is placed over the face
and left to penetrate while you drift away enjoying
a décolleté, neck and shoulder massage
I’M
LOOKING OILY AND BUMPY HELP ME!
Don't
worry have a New Skin Facial
Congestion
in the skin can be caused by over active oil glands
and slow exfoliation of dead skin cells. The aim of
a facial for those with congested skin is to remove
the build up of cell debris, control of sebaceous secretions
and balance the skin by replenishing moisture that may
have been removed by over stripping of the skin with
harsh cleansers.
The
main attractions of this facial are:
•
The multi-part non irritating exfoliation including
steam and extractions where necessary with a head massage
• The application of a gentle peeling ampule to
resurface
• Draining facial massage where appropriate
• Deep cleansing clay or thermal mask left on
while you drift away enjoying a décolleté,
neck and shoulder massage

it can begin to look tired and dull. It can begin to

• Stimulating and relaxing face massage encouraging

HEAD, NECK AND SHOULDERS
Massages
are great for body and mind.
They
allow you to escape and take time out for yourself to
truly relax.
The
best bit is that only are they enjoyable they are good
for you too as they improve circulation, skin condition
and help to release any muscular tension.
Your
massage can be tailored to your individual needs.
DO
Discuss
any concerns over what to expect with your therapist
before treatment.
Make
your therapist aware of any injuries/health problems
you may have.
Have
a shower before your massage.
Make
sure you drink plenty of water after your massage.
Book
on a day where you can just relax afterwards.
Feel
free to fall asleep during the treatment!
DON'T
Don't
drink alcohol on the same day before or after your massage
as it may make you feel faint.
Don't
allow anyone to disturb you during your treatment.
Don't
do any strenuous activity immediately after your massage
hands
and feet
MANICURE
PEDICURE
These
are treatments that make the nails on hands/feet look
aesthetically pleasing by filing, cuticle tidying and
either buffing to a natural shine or applying polish.
Small amounts of hard skin build up are removed on the
feet through exfoliating scrub and a hand held file.
Both
of these treatments are relaxing and involve massage.
Professional
only products used are made by:
• Creative
• Ciate
• China Glaze
DO
Remove
your old polish when it starts to look past its best.
Reapply
a clear varnish every 2/3 of days to prolong the polish.
Look
after your nails at home by applying cuticle creams/oils.
See
a chiropodist/podiatrist or the doctor if you have a
fungus/infection/verucca.
See
the chiropodist/podiatrist if you have calloused heels
or corns.
DON'T
Don't
be embarrassed about your nails any longer book a treatment
now.
Don't
expect to have perfect nails/skin after one treatment
if they are in very poor condition to start with, but
don't let this put you off as with a bit of care and
attention you too can have lovely looking fingers and
toes.
st.
tropez tanning
This
is the market-leading fake tanning product available
and can last up to 10 days if you look after it correctly.
The whole body is exfoliated and then a moisturised and
the tanning lotion is applied. Tell your therapist if
you would prefer not to have certain areas tanned.
DO
Wear
dark baggy clothing after tanning.
Exfoliate
every few days after application and keep skin oisturized
to prolong the tan.
Still
apply sun protection as a fake tan will not stop you
from burning if exposed to UV rays.
Wait
the full 12hrs before rinsing off the guide colour,
as this will insure an even result.
Have
a practice tan before a special event if you have not
had St Tropez before to ensure you like the result.
DON’T
Don’t
apply anything to the skin for the developing time (8-12hrs
after application).
Don’t
plan to do anything before the tan has developed as
you may look slightly “muddy” due to the
guide colour in the product and if you sweat excessively
or get your skin wet it will remove the tan.
eyelash
and brow treatments
EYELASH
PERM
This
gives a natural looking curl to the lashes and will
last for 6-8 weeks.
DO
Ask
to have a patch test at your first appointment so you
can have a perm done at your next appointment.
Book
your lash tint for 24hrs later.
Have
this done before a beach holiday.
DON'T
Don't
apply mascara for 24hrs after treatment.
EYELASH/BROW
TINTING
This
applies bold colour to lashes/brows and is especially
effective on those with light hairs.
DO
Ask
to have a patch test at your first appointment so you
can have a tint done at your next appointment.
Have
a lash perm at least 24hrs before your tint for a more
dramatic effect.
Have
this done before a beach holiday so you can have that
"made-up" look and still swim.
DON'T
Don't
worry about brows going too dark as colour can be built
up to the level you want.
EYEBROW
SHAPING
This
is performed with tweezers as waxing can stretch the
eyelid and cause wrinkling on this sensitive area.
Please
advise your therapist if you have any special requests
otherwise she will pluck to suit your face shape.
DO
Let
your therapist advise you on how to enhance your brows.
Maintain
the shape by tweezing any obvious brows that re-grow.
DON'T
Be
tempted to have waxing on your brows unless it's just
on the middle section where the skin is tougher.
Don't
over pluck, following the natural shape of the brow
is much more flattering.
aromatherapy
waxing
This
is removing hair from the roots by applying a warm wax
and removing with a waxing strip.
The
wax used contains soothing aromatherapy oils to minimise
irritation and the aftercare lotion is antiseptic.
Re-growth
will be soft unlike the stubble you get after shaving.
You
will need to book an appointment every 4 to 6 weeks
depending on how quickly your hair grows.
Hairs
that have been shaved may require 3 or more waxes before
seeing a perfect result.
Waxing
can only be performed on hairs that have grown to 1/4
of an inch or longer (the length of a grain of rice).
DO
Exfoliate
and moisturise the area/s to be waxed the evening before
your appointment.
Regularly
exfoliate and moisturising to prevent in-growing hairs
(N.B wait at least 24 hrs after waxing before exfoliating
again).
Apply
a soothing waxing aftercare lotion if the area is prone
to sensitivity.
Leave
long enough time between treatments (4-6 weeks).
Ask
your therapist if you have any worries/queries about
waxing.
DON'T
Don't
shave in between waxing appointments for best results.
Don't
apply any products (e.g. moisturiser/deodorant) on the
skin for 24hrs after waxing unless they are specifically
aftercare.
Do
not expose the area to heat, UV rays or the swimming
pool for 24hrs after waxing and always wear SPF 30 or
higher if you have to go in the sun.
Don't
wear tight clothing or tights for 24hrs, as this will
irritate the area.
Be
tempted to wax yourself at home as you will not be able
to stretch the skin and may end up with burns/bruising.
Most
of all don't worry; it's not that painful- contrary
to popular belief!!
Please
note: Your therapist will not perform eyebrow waxing
or Brazilian waxing.
Are there any pamper packages?
Whether
you are off on holiday, getting married, celebrating
a birthday or having a baby there is a package to suit
you. Even if none of these occasions apply and you just
want to pamper yourself for no good reason at all why
not. These packages all offer a discount on the normal
treatment cost.
You
do not even have to choose a package specific to your
situation for example the “Here comes the bride”
package of Manicure, Pedicure, Eyebrow shape and 20
mins back massage can be had by someone who has no intention
of ever getting married or by someone who has been happily
married for 30yrs! Please refer to the Price list for
details of packages.
Do you do any treatments just for men?
Men
like to be pampered too and why not. Men may have a
variety of treatments which can be tailored to their
needs. However the booking must be made by their partner/wife/female
friend and the person who makes the call must be a current client and present
at the time of the treatment and throughout the whole
treatment, no exceptions.
